The third category is Appearance and is mainly for personal preference. If you do not recognize the search engine being used, or just want to change it, go into the Manage search engines section and make the changes. Malicious websites and extensions will try and change the default search engine used by a browser. The only one I would look at is the Address bar. The default settings for almost all of these sections should be perfectly fine. They are disabled by default, and I would keep it that way.
